The Shape of Change 2025

The Shape of Change 2025

I’m in a season of change that feels both expansive and grounding. The kind that’s deep, intentional, and quietly life-shifting.

This series has been a personal exploration of what it means to grow, shift, and become.

I’ve tried to capture transformation as something layered and illuminating. That wondrous nature of the process of unfolding. How surprising, full of possibility and quietly powerful it can be to embrace change and evolve with it.

The work is on view at Ryan James Fine Arts Gallery in Kirkland through the month of August 2025. Gallery night Aug 15th 6-9pm.

‘What Opened Up’

30” x 40"
Acrylic inks on cotton paper, mounted on panel.

Growth doesn’t knock, it unfolds.
A soft widening of perspective, a tender stretch of the soul.
New insight, deeper capacity, the gentle unfolding of becoming.
And all of the surprising pathways and possibilities that emerge.

‘In the Middle of Wonder’

30” x 40"
Acrylic inks on cotton paper, mounted on panel.

Change unsettles and yet, it opens up the unknown.
There’s a quiet magic in the unexpected.
Where wonder leads and curiosity lights the way.
Glimpses of beauty, delight and joy that only reveal themselves mid-shift.

‘The Moment it Turned’

30” x 40"
Acrylic inks on cotton paper, mounted on panel.

The leap of faith comes first, then the knowing.
The moment the ground disappears and something deeper carries you.
And you realize, mid-air, that the wings were there all along.

‘Still, Changing’

30” x 40"
Acrylic inks on cotton paper, mounted on panel.

Stillness isn’t the absence of change, it’s the heart of it.
This piece holds the slow rhythm beneath the becoming…
Where stillness and silence in the midst if change, shapes and softens whats next.
